Tomorrow’s guest is the charming Amanda Fielding, founder and chairperson of the Beckley Foundation, a think tank dedicated to exploring the power of psychoactive substances in the treatment of mental conditions such as PTSD and depression.

Research into the potential healing power of these substances is again becoming popular, so much so that the discussion about their usefulness is increasingly taking place in the mainstream media.

Professor David Nutt of Imperial College, London has recently carried out brain imaging studies into how LSD and psilocybin work within the brain, and what this might mean for people who suffer from depression.
